Welcome to the second annual Speed Coding Competition at the IT University. This year’s competition is arranged by SKIP in cooperation with Midab and Dataföreningen Västra Kretsen. The competition will be held at the 18th of April, 2009, at the fourth floor in the Patricia building, Lindholmen. At the same time, SKIP will arrange a LAN party so if you lose your coding inspiration, you can go play some games.

The goal is to make this challenge programming language independent. Only your imagination and innovative skill should make a difference! The winner will have his/her name inscribed on the Midab Programming Challenge Cup as well as an individual Winner’s Cup to keep.

The challenge is to develop an application or widget within a specified timeframe and following a common theme. The theme will be presented when the competition starts. The application can either be desktop-based or web-based. You may use any programming language that you see fit. The judges will not look at code quality or optimization.
